The story

Joaquín Simó built this at Death & Co in New York around 2009, swapping gin for a funky overproof Jamaican rum and doubling the pour to stand up to the vermouth and Campari. It still drinks exactly like a Negroni, just with a deep banana-and-smoke undertone running underneath.
