The story
Constante Ribalaigua built this at La Florida in Havana in the 1920s, named for the Cuban president of the day, and it became the house pour once thirsty Americans started flooding south during Prohibition. It plays like a rum Manhattan, with dry curacao taking the place of the usual sweet vermouth partner.
